LA POSTE brings casual French-inspired dining and chic lounging to a beautifully

converted 1920s villa in downtown Jing’an district. The intimate 60 seat restaurant

occupies the ground floor of the classic stone villa, adjacent to sister pizza parlour La Strada.


Helming LA POSTE’s open kitchen and grill is Executive Chef Peter Gong,

who previously worked at Kathleen’s 5 and La Fourchette in Shanghai,

as well as at restaurants in Australia. For LA POSTE, Chef Peter has created a simple

French-inspired menu that will evolve with the seasons. Davy Hin from France,

who previously worked at Mr Willis and Three on the Bund oversees the LA POSTE team

as General Manager and Maître d’.


Ideal for pre- or post-dinner drinks, LA POSTE’s bartenders pour well-crafted cocktails

and own-import boutique wines while guests socialise at the communal reclaimed-wood bar.


An eclectic mix of old and new defines LA POSTE’s warm and inviting dining room.

Industrial ceilings blend with olive-green leather banquets, low hanging lamps

and French vintage market treasures.


Doors open to an alfresco terrace in time for Shanghai’s warm weather.
